TITLE: General Operator/Packer/Inspector (Non-Exempt)
2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Plus $.50 cents shift premium
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing
REPORTS TO: Team Leader
The primary function of this position is to maintain and operate the downstream equipment as needed. Responsible for inspecting and packing plastic containers; assembling containers via machine or by hand. Removing packed containers from machine and stacking in box per Job Traveler. Palletizing and Strapping using automated equipment. Must perform visual inspections of plastic containers for defects and proper handle placement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain consistent manufacturing production, including visual inspection of finished goods according to GMP/HACCP/BRC regulations.
- Follow all safety regulations and requirements.
- Maintain accurate machine operating records, including daily and weekly logs
- Reports any immediate problems/concerns with machinery to Lead or Machine Tech
- Inspect and place product in boxes per Job Traveler box pattern onto pallet.
- Insert corrugate into magazine or palletizer per Job Traveler tray pack or bag pack
- Pull out pallets with jack for stretch/wrap/band point. Use stretch/wrap/banding units.
- Move completed pallets to staging area (WIP) for labeling.
- Be available as backup for QA testing (product quality inspections and logging)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED; basic Math aptitude; good communication, planning, and organizational skills;
familiarity with production machinery is a plus. Must be able to safely handle required lifting weight up to 50 pounds. The position requires standing, frequent bending, and twisting movements for the duration of the shift.
A minimum of 1 year in manufacturing preferred. Forklift experience a plus.
